After producing a wide range of events for over a decade, Jessica Tomasin decided she wanted to create an impactful event that would leave participants with more than just a hangover. So she created Connect Beyond, a multi-genre arts festival featuring talent from around the world with a mission to inspire change for social justice through music, film, art, and literature. This innovative event features intellectually stimulating panels, workshops, movie screenings, and live music performances, with authors, songwriters, filmmakers, journalists, activists, and academics coming together in the name of achieving a more socially just planet.
In addition to producing Connect Beyond, she has been the studio manager at Echo Mountain Recording for the last 13 years. Under her direction, the studio has evolved into a world-class destination featuring a full range of digital and analog capabilities with an amazing selection of gear and a wide variety of credits to its name. Jessica is also the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Asheville Music Professionals, a non-profit organization committed to providing education, advocacy, connection, and collaboration in the music community of Western North Carolina. Through all of her work, she is committed to providing others with the tools and resources needed to help create the world they want to live in.
